	Le Concours international d'Affiches The International Competition A l'entrepôt des Subsistances
	Dans le prolongement de la démarche d’ouverture initiée en 2003, le Concours international d’affiche du XVIe Festival International de l’Affiche et des Arts Graphiques de Chaumont n’a pas de thème. Cette politique résolument tournée vers la diversité a porté ses fruits depuis deux ans puisque 2200 nouvelles affiches en 2003 et plus de 1800 en 2004 sont venues enrichir le fonds contemporain de la ville de Chaumont, collection désormais exemplaire rassemblant plus de 20000 affiches de la production graphique internationale la plus récente. Une sélection de 98 affiches sera exposée à l'entrepôt des Subsistances et un jury composé de 5 graphistes de renommée internationale représentatif de 4 continents donnera son palmarès lors d'une cérémonie de remise des prix, le samedi 21 mai 2005. Cette année, le concours international à reçu 1982 affiches de 47 pays.	As a continuation of the broadening approach initiated 2003, the International Poster Competition of the XVIth International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont does not have a theme. This policy, resolutely favouring the diversity of the entries has born its fruit over the past two years, since 2200 new posters in 2003 and 1800 in 2004, have enriched the contemporary collection of Chaumont – a collection, which is now exemplary , grouping more than 20 000 posters of the most recent international production. A selection of the entries will be shown at the Entrepôt des Subsistances and a jury composed of 5 internationally renowned designers representing 4 continents will award the prizes at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 21 May 2005.

	Le Concours « Etudiants, tous à Chaumont! » Sur le thème « tout ce qui est humain est notre », en partenariat avec le Secours Populaire Français. The Competition « Students, All to Chaumont !» The theme “All that is human is ours” is the motto of the Secours Populaire A l'entrepôt des Subsistances
	Le 12è Concours « Étudiants, tous à Chaumont ! » du XVIe Festival International de l’Affiche et des Arts Graphiques de Chaumont en partenariat avec l'association caritative du Secours Populaire Français qui fête en 2005 son 60è anniversaire, a pour objectif de donner la parole aux étudiants des écoles d'art et de graphisme pour favoriser un discours citoyen autour de la notion de solidarité. Le thème proposé « Tout ce qui est humain est nôtre » n'est autre que la devise du Secours Populaire depuis 1945. Pour aider les étudiants dans leurs recherches, la direction artistique du festival et l'association ont établi une liste de mots-clefs et mis en ligne une sélection d'images des différentes campagnes du Secours Populaire Français (www.secourspopulaire.asso.fr). Une sélection des affiches reçues sera exposée à l'entrepôt des Subsistances et un jury composé de 5 graphistes donnera son palmarès lors d'une cérémonie de remise des prix, le samedi 21 mai 2005. Par ailleurs, dans le cadre des cérémonies de célébration de ces 60 années d'engagement, un florilège de soixante images du 12è concours « Etudiants, tous à Chaumont ! » sera exposé au siège parisien de l'association en novembre 2005.	The 12th competition « Students, All to Chaumont ! » of the XVIth Interntational Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont in partnership with the charity organization Secours Populaire Français, which is celebrating its 60th aniversary in 2005 aims at letting the students of art and design schools express themselves in order to encourage a socially aware attitude concerning the idea of solidarity. The theme that is proposed “All that is human is ours” is no more no less than the motto of the Secours Populaire, ever since 1945. In order to help the students in their research, the artistic direction and the association established a list of key words and put on-line a selection of visuals from the various campaigns of the Secours Populaire Français (www.secourspopulaire.asso.fr). A selection of the entries will be shown at the Entrepôt des Subsistances and a jury composed of 5 designers will award the prizes during the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 21 May 2005. Also, in the context of the celebrations of the 60 years of commitment, a selection of 60 visuals of the 12th competition “Students, All to Chaumont!” will be exhibited at the head office of the association in Paris in November 2005.

	Les Ateliers Workshops A l'Ancienne Bibliothèque - Exposition à l'entrepôt des Subsistances
	Sur le même thème que le concours « Etudiants, tous à Chaumont! » (« Tout ce qui est humain est nôtre ») et également en partenariat avec le Secours Populaire Français, les Ateliers/Workshops accueilleront 105 étudiants du monde entier du 17 au 19 mai 2005 animés par 7 graphistes internationaux. Les travaux réalisés seront exposés à l'entrepôt des Subsistances et un jury composé de 5 graphistes donnera son palmarès lors d'une cérémonie de remise des prix, le samedi 21 mai 2005.	On the same theme as the competition « Students, All to Chaumont ! » (“All that is human is ours”) and also in partnership with the Secours Populaire Français, the Studio/workshops, led by 7 international designers, will welcome 105 students from all over the world from 17 to 19 May 2005. The outcome will be shown at the Entrepôt des Subsistances and a jury composed of 5 designers will award the prizes during the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 21 May 2005.
